CALiNGA started with a simple, frustrating gap: families needing help at short notice on one side, skilled care professionals looking for work on the other, and nothing straightforward connecting the two.
What we are
A marketplace, not an agency.
CALiNGA is a technology platform. We build and run the place where families and independent care professionals find each other, agree terms, communicate and pay. We do not employ care professionals, we do not assign them to families, and we do not supervise the care that is delivered.
That distinction matters, and we are deliberate about it. Professionals on CALiNGA are independent. They choose the requests they take, set their own rates and keep control of their own schedules. Families choose who they work with. Our job is to make that choice an informed one, and to keep the process honest on both sides.

Three things we will not compromise on.
Verification before visibility
A professional's profile does not appear to families until their documents have been submitted and approved. There is no shortcut around it.
Plain terms, shown up front
Rates, cancellation terms and what a visit includes are agreed before it is booked, in writing, inside the app.
Fair work for professionals
Care professionals keep what they earn, minus a transparent platform fee. No unpaid waiting, no invisible deductions.
The people we build for
Two very different Monday mornings.
A daughter three hours away, whose father has been discharged earlier than expected and needs someone with him this afternoon. She does not need a brochure. She needs to see who is available, what they are qualified for, and whether they can be there by three.
A qualified carer with a gap in her week and no easy way to fill it. She does not want to be on a rota she cannot control. She wants to see real requests near her, pick the ones that fit, and be paid properly for the work.
